After reading the feature article "Teaching Girls How to Rock" I feel the intended audience is younger women from ages 15-21ish who love music. The intended purpose of this piece is to show young female rockers that getting a band started isn't that challenging you just have to put yourself out there. The article begins by going over how the Jessica Hopper got her start and how far she has gotten in the world of rock. The writers voice in this piece is of praise for Jessica Hopper and the camp Girls Rock Philly. The article uses Jessica Hopper, her book, the camp Girls Rock Philly, Beth Warshaw-Duncan, and many famous female singers and female rock bands. The story includes background information about Jessica Hopper which she found by interviewing her, the camp Girls Rock Philly which she found from the founder Beth Warshaw-Duncan, female rock bands that formed because of the camp which she got from Beth again, and famous female singers which she most likely found on the internet.

Proposal to editor:
I propose i write a feature story about National Parks. The story would be interesting to people because they can see where some of there tax dollars go and find out a little something about national parks they might not have even known were around near them like the Lowell National Park. For interviews and sources i could use my dad who is a landscape architect for the federal government that works on national parks, my bother who did a internship job working for the Lowell National Park, and finally some students to see if they like the idea of national parks or if they think that national parks are a waste of tax funds.
I like it, start working!
